Louis Alemayehu and Mitch Walking Elkshared their traditional, musical, and spoken word in closing. In addition, Mitch Walking Elk asked the community to name conflict areas of the world and he recorded their responses on a flip chart. He then invited student volunteers and young adult participants to come forward to represent the future. Older participants stood behind the young people as the entire Symposium community prayed for the conflict areas of the world. This reminded the Symposium community that we gathered to support individual, family, community, national, and global healing.

The conference concluded with a beautiful closing ceremony facilitated by Mitch Walking Elk and Louis Alemayehu, as we came together with song and dance to share our connection and gratitude.

The Symposium closed with a Native American round dance.##
